I am primarily a textile artist working in hand and machine embroidery, and much of my work is rooted in and derived from the stumpwork embroidery tradition of 17th century England. Sometimes, I use mixed media in my work, and I also work in printmaking and hand-made paper and books. I find my inspiration everywhere, but my most recent work is themed on nature, particularly birds.
